This was an alien interment camp that housed German, Italian, and Japanese detainees at different times during the war.
Dominic Candeloro created a very good 30 minute documentary about Italian merchant marines and NY World's Fair Italian national workers who, in the spring of 1941, were interned and sent to Missoula, Montana until Italy became a co-belligerant im 1943.
