This list of Prisoner of War Camps, Italian Service Unit Camps, and Prisoner of War Hospitals is based on weekly reports located on NARA microfilm #66-538 (population lists June 1942-June 1946). Additional locations based on newspapers, interviews, and other NARA records (at College Park and Regional Archives).

The three POW Camps in Hawaii during World War II included these names, but apparently only three locations:
Hawaii (base camp) (see Honolulu)
Honouliuli, Oahu, Hawaii served as both a base camp and a transfer point for prisoners of war from both the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters. Five of the seven camp sections were created to serve as prisoner of war compounds, and eventually held prisoners from Japan, Okinawa, Korea, Taiwan and Italy. At its peak, facilities at the camp were capable of accommodating 4,000 prisoners of war, with conditions of imprisonment dependent upon factors such as ethnic background, political status and reputation. A substantial number of the prisoners held at Honouliuli were non-combatant labor conscripts.
Honolulu City and County, Oahu, Hawaii (see Hawaii)
Iroquois (Camp), Hawaii held Japanese POWs captured at Iwo Jima (restricted listing, interrogation center)
Kilauea Military Camp, Hawaii (see Hawaii) (POWs from Okinawa and Korea)

Enemy alien internment camps:
Haiku Internment Camp, Maui, Hawaii (Japanese)
Honouliuli Internment Camp, Oahu, Hawaii (Danish, Finnish, Irish, Italian, Norwegian, Swedish)
Kalaheo Stockade, Kauai, Hawaii (Japanese)
Kilauea Military Camp, Hawaii (Japanese)
Sand Island, Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii (German, Italian and Japanese)

Cemeteries:
O'ahu Cemetery, Honolulu, HI, a civilian cemetery. (3 German WWII POWs are buried here)
Schofield Barracks Cemetery, Honolulu, HI (4 Italian POWs are buried here), an active military installation.

There were 3 camps, 5 internment locations, and 2 cemeteries in HI. More information and source citations in my book titled Prisoner of War Camps Across America and is available in Kindle format on Amazon and in Nook format on Barnes and Noble.
