This list of Prisoner of War Camps, Italian Service Unit Camps, and Prisoner of War Hospitals is based on weekly reports located on NARA microfilm #66-538 (population lists June 1942-June 1946). Additional locations based on newspapers, interviews, and other NARA records (at College Park and Regional Archives).

Charles City, Floyd County, IA (branch camp under Algona)
Clarinda (Camp), Clarinda, Page County, IA (base camp)(has branch camps in IA and MO)
Clinton, Clinton County, IA (branch camp under Algona)
Eldora, Hardin County, IA (branch camp under Algona)
Muscatine, Muscatine County, IA (branch camp under Algona), POWs worked at the Heinz factory and lived at the fish hatchery
Onawa, Monona County, IA (branch camp under Algona)
Schick General Hospital, Clinton, Clinton County, IA (branch camp under Weingarten, MO)
Shenandoah, Fremont and Page Counties, IA (branch camp under Algona) (see Clarinda)
